Transition to Work Home
Jobmatch’s Transition to Work program is a two year program that supports school leavers with a disability to develop skills that will assist them to move to employment, vocational education (TAFE or Uni) and other training.
“At the start of Transition to Work I was doing an IT course at TAFE. When the course finished Jobmatch helped me find work experience. Jobmatch has supported me with the cost of travel to work experience by providing me with taxi vouchers. They have also provided me with a carer so I could do work experience.” Gareth, Transition to Work client.
Each client works one to one with their Employment Adviser to identify goals in an Individual Program Plan (IPP). Clients are then supported to achieve these goals. We provide career guidance and planning, support to access work experience, work-related skills training, independent living skills training, travel training and skill development.
Jobmatch can provide a Transition to Work program to those who:
- Have a disability
- Have been assessed as being eligible to receive Transition to Work funding from DADHC
- Willing to gain employment-related skills
