Jobmatch provides a number of transition to work services for its clients. These services are designed to provide clients with the skills, knowledge and hands on experience to move from school into the workplace.
Employment Planning
Together with your Employment Adviser you will develop an Individual Program Plan. This Individual Program Plan, known as an IPP, will focus on your skills, your interests and the assistance you need to achieve your goals. We will identify your barriers to employment and assist you to put support networks in place to prepare for you employment.
Work Preparation Course
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge that is required to successfully gain employment. Topics covered include: What is work?, Superannuation explained, What to wear at an interview, Interview skills, and Benefits of work to mention the more popular topics.
Vocational Training
Jobmatch will assist you to gain access to further education by ensuring that you have the correct supports at TAFE or University to successfully complete the course. This can include assistance on enrolment day, or liaison with TAFE and/or University to monitor progress and deal with issues as they may arise.
Jobmatch will also assist you to gain work experience as well as providing support in the form of supervision, training and encouragement for you whilst on work experience. This will help you choose the type of employment that is right for you. If you need personal care at work experience Jobmatch can organise appropriate services to assist you to maximise your independence during this important time.
Independent Living Skills Course
This is incorporated into the Work Preparation Course, however it aims to equip you with the skills you need to be more independent after leaving school. This will focus on relationship skills, healthy living, stress management, assertiveness and more.
