Finding a job is not an easy task, however Jobmatch has a number of services that will help you stand out and succeed in the very competitive world of finding a job.
Job Suitability Assessment
It is really important to have some realistic expectations about the types of roles you are suitable for. The Job Suitability Assessment is an opportunity for Jobmatch to learn about your interests, skills, experience, capabilities and potential. This means you will:
- Receive training and assistance targeted at gaining a roles best suited to you
- Apply for jobs best suited to your skills, interests and experience
- Find sustainable employment in a job and company that you can be happy to stay with for years to come
Your Employment Consultant is trained to assess all of these things so that you find the job most suitable to you.
Job Seeker Skills Training
There are many skills required to find a job, such as; building a resume, drafting application letters, making follow up calls to potential employers, cold calling, interview preparation and interview techniques. We have an Advanced Job Readiness Program that can assist you with gaining these skills or further developing them.
Job Seeker Support
Sometimes having the skills is not enough. Jobmatch Employment Consultants are trained to assist you to put those skills into practice by assisting you throughout the application and interview process if needed.
We also provide post placement support for a minimum of 26 weeks for all of our clients to assist you in becoming successful in your new job. This can include but is not limited to: On the job training and support, regular onsite workplace visits, assisting with workplace modifications, a regular phone call, offsite meetings to discuss work issues, working with your co-workers and manager to assist in creating an inclusive environment.
We have a range of training courses available for our clients to access online. These include administration and software courses, time management and goal setting among others.
Job Club is a group activity where many of Jobmatch’s clients come together to find jobs from the local papers within the Sydney metro area, weekend newspapers and internet job seeking sites. You will also have access to phones for any follow up you may need to do. Job Club is run once a week and all Employment Consutlants are present to offer additional support throughout the application process. It is a great opportunity to socialise with other jobseekers, swap stories, help others, encourage and be encouraged. It is also a great way to add some more structure to your job seeking activities and hone your skills.
