Finding a Job

Finding a job is not an easy task, sometimes it can take many attempts before you are successful in getting to an interview stage, however, there are some steps you can take towards being a successful job seeker.

Step 1.

Speak to one of Jobmatch’s experienced Employment Advisors where they will do a needs assessment. This meeting will determine which jobs are best suited to you and your skills.

Step 2.

You will then be given the opportunity to learn from experienced recruiters, gaining knowlegde on tips and techniques in all aspects of job seeking through partcipation in the Advanced Job Readiness Program.

Step 3.

Attend Job Club, participate in one on one sessions with your Employment Advisor and do your own job seacrh at home.

Job Club

Job Club is a group activity where many of Jobmatch’s clients come together to find jobs from the local papers within the Sydney metro area, weekend newspapers and internet job seeking sites. You will also have access to phones for any follow up you may need to do.  Job Club is run once a week and all Employment Advisors are present to offer additional support throught the appliaction process.

It is a great opportunity to socialise with other jobseekers, swap stories, help others, encourage and be encouraged. It is also a great way to add some more structure to your job seeking activities and hone your skills.
